At IBC 2024, Sony is showcasing its latest innovations in hardware, software, cloud, AI, and IP technologies, forming a comprehensive ecosystem for content creation and media production. Among the highlights are updates to its Networked Live, Creators’ Cloud, and Ci Media Cloud platforms, along with live demonstrations of new solutions for broadcast and production workflows. Sony’s advancements emphasize hybrid workflows, allowing media professionals to seamlessly work across multiple infrastructures. Key tools include the M2L-X software-based switcher and the MLS-X1 switcher, which offer increased scalability and modular flexibility, and the CNA-2 camera control network adapter, which simplifies multi-camera control.
Sony is also focusing on virtual production, launching a new version of its Virtual Production Tool Set that integrates with more camera models and supports Epic Games’ Unreal VCam for intuitive camera control. The company’s cloud-based platforms like Ci Media Cloud now offer native integration with Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve, enhancing post-production workflows.
