IBC 2024: AWS, BBC, Adobe Prioritize Fast-Turnaround Workflows With Open Source Framework (SVG)

At IBC 2024, Amazon Web Services (AWS) will unveil the Cloud Native Agile Production (CNAP) project, an open-source initiative aimed at revolutionizing live media production by streamlining workflows and integrating cloud-based solutions. Developed in collaboration with the BBC’s R&D team, Sky, and partners like Adobe and CuttingRoom, CNAP allows content creators to quickly produce and distribute media for live broadcasts and social media using their preferred tools. With its interoperable framework and efficient use of cloud storage, CNAP reduces costs and processing time, making live media production more accessible and scalable.

The CNAP project highlights advancements in fast-turnaround media workflows, allowing for low-latency video ingest, editing, and playout. At IBC, AWS will showcase an end-to-end CNAP workflow with partner technologies, demonstrating how media content can be stored, edited, and distributed efficiently within a cloud-native environment. The project offers media companies a cost-effective alternative to traditional workflows and opens new possibilities for integrating AI and expanding cloud-based media production in the future.
