CDSA Summit @ L.A.: EIDR’s Choi Details Organization’s AI Role (CDSAOnline)

The Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) is playing a crucial role in addressing the challenges of AI and content authenticity in the media and entertainment industry. EIDR, already heavily used by studios to identify and manage their assets, is now being leveraged to combat the rise of deepfakes and ensure ethical AI practices. By participating in the IBC Accelerator project on “Digital Replicas and Talent ID,” EIDR is helping to develop a standardized ID framework for authenticating digital replicas and protecting content from unauthorized use.

This framework provides a way to track and verify the origin and usage of digital replicas, giving studios and actors greater control over their content and mitigating the risks associated with deepfakes. EIDR’s involvement in this initiative highlights its commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of the industry and ensuring the responsible use of AI in content creation. By providing tools and resources for managing digital identities and verifying content authenticity, EIDR is helping to build a more secure and transparent media ecosystem.
