Bluepeak Fiber, a U.S. service provider, is future-proofing its broadband network by adopting Harmonic’s cOS virtualized broadband platform. This advanced solution, designed to support DOCSIS 4.0, 10G, and fiber, enables Bluepeak to deliver high-speed, reliable internet to its customers. By utilizing Harmonic’s virtualized core software and versatile edge devices, Bluepeak can evolve with industry advancements without needing major infrastructure changes, thus enhancing operational efficiency while reducing costs.
Bluepeak will deploy Harmonic’s technology in a distributed access architecture (DAA) with Harmonic’s Pebble Remote PHY Device and Ripple modular DAA node, optimizing network operations and addressing space and power constraints. Additionally, Harmonic’s BoostD 3.1 feature on the cOS platform will allow Bluepeak to provide fiber-like speeds of over 8 Gbps, enhancing the overall customer experience. This step strengthens Bluepeak’s efforts to build modern broadband infrastructure across the Great Plains and Midwest. Harmonic’s cOS platform, already powering services for over 30 million homes globally, continues to lead in enabling next-gen broadband services.
