How Warner Bros Discovery is Shaking Up Ads Using AI (Analytics India)

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is ramping up its AI initiatives with the rapid growth of its GCC in Hyderabad, India, now its largest tech hub in the region. The facility focuses on commerce, consumer platforms, and data platforms, leveraging AI to process vast volumes of streaming data and enhance personalization across WBD’s services. During the inauguration, CTO Avi Saxena emphasized the importance of AI-driven insights to deliver tailored customer experiences. CEO David Zaslav echoed this commitment, noting AI’s transformative potential for the entertainment industry during a recent earnings call.

WBD is also reimagining advertising on its Max platform by integrating AI-powered solutions like KERV.ai’s “Shop with Max” and “Moments.” These tools make ads more relevant and engaging by identifying on-screen items for real-time shopping or aligning promotions with the emotional tone of content. Additional ad innovations, such as interactive formats and advanced targeting tools, are being developed to deepen viewer engagement. With nearly 80% of ad spend projected to be algorithm-driven by 2027, WBD’s AI strategy aligns with industry trends, positioning the company as a leader in personalized, data-driven advertising.
