Thinking Media, Inc. has announced the integration of Bitmovin’s Player, VOD Encoder, and Analytics into its newly acquired streaming platform, Stirr, marking a major step toward redefining hyper-personalized video streaming. Acquired from Sinclair Broadcast Group in January 2024, Stirr is being re-platformed to incorporate AI-generated elemental feeds for news, weather, and traffic, alongside advanced features like Multiview capabilities and Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI). Bitmovin’s solutions are pivotal in ensuring exceptional playback quality, ultra-fast encoding, and real-time analytics to provide seamless streaming experiences for viewers across devices.
The collaboration also includes deploying Bunny.net’s next-gen content delivery network to enhance streaming reliability and scalability across North America, Latin America, and Europe. Bitmovin’s cutting-edge technologies, including multi-codec streaming and Per-Title Encoding, will allow Thinking Media to deliver high-quality content while optimizing costs. With plans to make Stirr an AI-native streaming service, this partnership is set to revolutionize the platform by introducing innovative viewing experiences, blending hyper-local content with cutting-edge technology.
